The 7th International Global Best Teachers Award

Why It Is Free

No teacher should have to pay to be considered for recognition.

The award carries no registration fee, no processing charge and no cost at any stage of the process. Nominations arrive from government schools and private universities alike, and are assessed on the same criteria.

Eligibility

Who can be nominated

  • Be a currently practising teacher
  • Have a minimum of three years' teaching experience
  • Be employed at a recognised educational institution
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification
  • Be under sixty years of age during the nomination year
Selection Process

A transparent seven-stage review

  1. 01

    Application submission

    Self-nominations and institutional nominations are both accepted, free of charge.

  2. 02

    Document verification

    Credentials, service record and supporting evidence are checked.

  3. 03

    Evaluation committee review

    Applications are scored against teaching effectiveness, innovation, impact and leadership.

  4. 04

    Shortlisting

    A shortlist is drawn per category and communicated to nominees.

  5. 05

    Final evaluation

    Shortlisted educators are assessed in depth, including community involvement.

  6. 06

    Selection committee decision

    The committee's decision is final.

  7. 07

    Award ceremony

    Winners are honoured at the annual ceremony, hosted with a partner institution.

Teaching is one of the few professions where excellence is witnessed daily by thirty people who cannot yet articulate it. The award exists to say it out loud.

What nominees ask most

Who can apply?

Any practising teacher at a recognised educational institution who meets the eligibility criteria. Applications are open internationally.

Is there a registration fee?

No. Participation in the nomination process is completely free, at every stage. There are no hidden charges.

Can teachers nominate themselves?

Yes. Self-nominations are accepted and are treated identically to institutional nominations.

How are winners selected?

Through a structured seven-stage review assessing teaching effectiveness, innovation, measurable impact, leadership and community involvement.

What do awardees receive?

A Certificate of Excellence, a customised memento and category-specific recognition. The Best Teacher Award also includes free registration for the Diploma in Teachers Counselling.
