Diploma in Teachers Counselling

The Academy's flagship qualification, preparing teachers to support the whole student — academically, emotionally and psychologically. The 2026 cohort is now open.

At a Glance

A counselling qualification built for people already teaching.

Delivered online or hybrid so it can be taken alongside a full teaching load, and structured around the situations that actually arrive in a classroom rather than a clinical caseload.

Global Gyaan Academy

Online / Hybrid

Teachers, principals, lecturers, counsellors and aspiring educators
Structure
Four units, with assignments, case studies and a practicum component

Curriculum

Four units, built for real classroom application

Each unit closes with case-study work drawn from situations reported by practising teachers.

  1. 01

Unit One — Foundations of Counselling

Student psychology, core counselling technique, active listening and emotional intelligence.

  2. 02

Unit Two — Classroom and Behavioural Support

Behaviour management, classroom counselling, student motivation and inclusive education.

  3. 03

Unit Three — Crisis and Wellness

Stress management, crisis identification, child protection and the teacher's own wellbeing.

  4. 04

Unit Four — Communication and Practice

Parent communication, practical case studies, documentation and reporting, and ethics in counselling.

The point is not to turn every teacher into a therapist. It is to make sure that no child's distress goes unnoticed simply because nobody in the building knew what they were looking at.
